I'm so glad I won't be there.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5168597614461308610.post-34303328944573775672014-01-21T18:54:22.997-08:002014-01-21T18:54:22.997-08:0040-man Flex would solve most of the problems I can...40-man Flex would solve most of the problems I can come up with. Personally I kinda think making Flex standard would be good for the MMO genre.Clockworkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00565064315360664711noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5168597614461308610.post-7291211585279860482014-01-20T23:44:22.675-08:002014-01-20T23:44:22.675-08:00I think it's a little early to worry about the...I think it's a little early to worry about the broadcasting / telegraph issue. it's not like the devs working on this game for years, haven't had that same thought at some point :) they must have discussed this issue at length and apparently come up with a solution. let's hope that for now, hehe...

I agree with you that 40mans create a truckload of administrative and organisational hassle for raidleaders; I used to recruit and raidlead for 40man guilds in WoW and the downtimes weren't pretty. much of that was lack of other tools and conveniences though which were added later in WoW. almost every aspect of gameplay has known updates since that time, so the sheer number 40 aside, I don't think 40mans today would be the same problem as they used to be. especially not 40man flex.

25man did have a higher focus that's true. but at the same time I miss having the freedom of carrying someone. the change made many a great guild a harsher place and it forced the kind of unhappy choices and dilemmas on my own guilds that wouldn't have been necessary in 40man. there should be some leeway to make up for a bad player, especially in a particular encounter. otherwise I take issue with the streamlining of WoW's overall difficulty (which I have posted on a while ago).

So yeah, I look forward to what WS will make of this at least :)
Sylhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04473554645340972749noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5168597614461308610.post-54335717258304003152014-01-20T19:35:15.182-08:002014-01-20T19:35:15.182-08:00You can actually see the craziness that is mass at...You can actually see the craziness that is mass attack telegraphs at launch in Guild Wars 2. Whenever a high-profile event would start, people would flock over and as you're trying to build combos with each other, it's just a complete mess of AoE templates everywhere.

I don't know if it's still the case, I have played in forever, but it left a distinct negative impression on me.Talarianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17684944568000522986noreply@blogger.com
